For basically as long as I can remember, I was part of a robotics team. Starting with building Lego robots in middle school, to being a team leader of a FIRST team and member of a VEX team for all four years of high school, building robots has shaped who I am as a person and an engineer today. This experience also gave me an extremely strong foundation for my engineering knowledge, because even in high school, I was building and designing robots that many college graduates would struggle to create. As a result, I am now a very hands on, solution oriented engineer who can not only calculate how something is going to work on paper, but apply that knowledge to build something that works in the real world.
